This User Agreement is concluded between the TercümExpert online translation platform (“TercümExpert”) and the natural or legal person using the platform (the “User”). By registering, requesting a quote, or placing an order, the User declares that they have read and accepted this Agreement and the other policies on the site (the Privacy Policy, the Personal Data Protection Notice, the Cookie Policy, and the Distance Sales Agreement).
TercümExpert is a platform through which written translation, sworn translation, and notary-certified translation services are offered via document upload, instant pricing, and online ordering. Translations are carried out by professional and sworn translators who specialise in the relevant field. TercümExpert provides a secure service environment between the User and the translators and manages the process end to end.
The User accepts that the information provided during registration and ordering is accurate, current, and complete. The User is responsible for the confidentiality of their account details and password and for all activity carried out through their account. If any unauthorised use is detected, the User shall notify TercümExpert without delay. Some actions may not require membership; however, creating an account is recommended for order tracking and delivery.
The User agrees to use the platform in accordance with applicable law and the rules of good faith. The User undertakes that they hold the necessary rights and authority over the documents to be translated and that they will not submit unlawful content, content that infringes the rights of third parties, or misleading content. The User shall refrain from any act that endangers the security of the platform, misuses the system, or uses the service for purposes other than intended.
The site design, logo, text, software, and other content belong to TercümExpert or its licensors and may not be used without permission. Translations prepared for the User are delivered to the User upon payment of the full service fee and may be used freely by the User. The User declares that the rights and permissions in the source documents to be translated belong to them and is responsible for any claims that third parties may assert in this regard.
The service fee is calculated before the order based on the language pair, service type, word or page count, and any selected add-ons, and is shown to the User. For a confirmed order, the amount confirmed at the time of ordering applies. TercümExpert reserves the right to update its future prices; such updates do not affect confirmed existing orders.
Order cancellation, the right of withdrawal, and refund conditions are set out in detail in the Distance Sales Agreement. In summary, orders that have not yet been taken up by a translator may be cancelled, and approved refunds are made using the original payment method. For services prepared specifically for a person or document and whose performance has commenced, the exceptions to the right of withdrawal are reserved.
Services are provided with professional care and to professional standards and are reviewed before delivery. The User is responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legibility of the documents they submit. TercümExpert’s liability is limited to the value of the relevant order to the extent permitted by applicable law. TercümExpert cannot be held liable for damages arising from the User’s fault or from incomplete or incorrect information provided by the User.
Information and documents belonging to the User are processed in confidence. The principles regarding the processing of personal data are set out in the Personal Data Protection Notice and the Privacy Policy, and the use of cookies is set out in the Cookie Policy. These texts form an integral part of this Agreement.
The User accepts that this Agreement is concluded electronically. TercümExpert may send notifications relating to orders and the account to the e-mail address provided by the User, and such notifications are deemed valid notice. The User is obliged to keep their contact details up to date.
In circumstances beyond the parties’ control—such as natural disasters, fire, epidemics, infrastructure and internet outages, or decisions of public authorities—delays or disruptions in the performance of obligations may occur. During a force majeure event, the relevant obligations of the parties are suspended.
If use in breach of this Agreement or of applicable law is detected, TercümExpert reserves the right to suspend or terminate the service. The User may also close their account at any time; records relating to completed transactions and to legal retention obligations are preserved in accordance with the legislation.
This Agreement is governed by Turkish law. In disputes that may arise from the Agreement, for consumer transactions the competent Consumer Arbitration Committees and Consumer Courts, and for other disputes the competent courts and enforcement offices at TercümExpert’s place of business, shall have jurisdiction.
TercümExpert may update this Agreement and the associated policies. The current text takes effect on the date it is published on the site; continued use of the service means acceptance of the current terms.
